Event: Maine International Conference on Technology & Learning

Where: Maine Center for the Arts, Orono, Maine
When: August 14 - 16

Description: This two and a half day conference will focus on changing the way we view and implement education as the complexity, availability, and pervasiveness of technology continue to impact education. Seymour Papert, co- chair of the conference and author of MindStorms is a driving force behind trying to get legislators, superintendents, principals, teachers, and parents to not view technology as a tool to keep doing education as before, but as a means to transform into a new era of education that is more powerful, more meaningful than today.
